About
I study cybersecurity and international security. My research focuses on how cybersecurity and technologies change the relationship between countries and other organizations. I am a computer scientist and teach how we can implement technologies into our societies. My research has been published in books or articles.
I am an Associate Professor at the College of Systems Engineering and Science at Shibaura Institute of Technology. I am also affiliated with Keio Research Institute at SFC and JPCERT/CC.
Prior to joining the Shibaura Institute of Technology, I was a researcher at Mitsubishi Research Institute and an analyst at JPCERT/CC. During my career, I have engaged in the research of measurement analysis of networked systems, network security, and international security. I contributed to Japan’s cybersecurity policy development, including technology development, critical infrastructure protection, and technical standards.
I completed my doctorate at the School of Fundamental Science and Engineering at Waseda University by developing a future internet protocol showing network status between communication nodes. I also received my B.E. and M.S. degrees in applied physics from Waseda University in 2006 and 2008, respectively.
