Dai Mochinaga is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Systems Engineering and Science at Shibaura Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Shibaura Institute of Technology, Dr. Mochinaga was a researcher at Mitsubishi Research Institute and an analyst at JPCERT/CC. His analysis focuses on global cybersecurity, technology policy, and regulatory issues. He helps partners assess the situation generated by the complex intersection of technology, policy, and regulatory environment based on cross-issue analysis. As a consultant for the Japanese government, he contributed to the cyber security policy development, including technology development, critical infrastructure protection, and technical standards. He is a computer scientist and works on cyber security and international security research. He has engaged in the research of measurement analysis of networked systems, network security, and international security. He received his B.E. and M.S. degrees in applied physics and Doctor degree in computer science from Waseda University in 2006, 2008, and 2013, respectively.
